Look Good, Feel Good, Mom Good

Hey guys- hope this post finds you happy & well!

Eloise is 10-months-old now, which is absolutely blowing my mind. I’m going to be the mother of a one-year-old in a matter of weeks. What?! It’s true what they say, “the days go by slow but the years go by in a blink of an eye.” Motherhood is deep, y’all. I actually teared up as I watched her play yesterday… okay, more like sobbed. And okay, that happens more than I’d like to admit, but I just can’t help it! All at once (or so it seems) she’s grown into this beautiful, intelligent little girl with her own personality and sense of humor. I don’t know how to put into words just how crazy it is watching your baby grow into a walking, talking real-life person.

Now that she’s a bit older, getting ready is becoming a bit more challenging. Baby girl is always on the move. She is a product of her daddy, especially when it comes to her fearlessness and determination and the girl is just as fast as she is strong. It’s actually pretty impressive. My days are spent chasing her around as she explores (and tries to eat) anything and everything and she’s not even walking yet! So when it comes to getting the both of us ready, I have our routine down to a science. Some days we master it better than others but I’m not going to lie, getting yourself and a baby ready to go anywhere is never easy and always exhausting!

Although it isn’t easy, I think it’s important for us moms to make the time to get ourselves ready and feel like a million bucks! It’s a game changer, let me tell ya. It doesn’t have to be everyday. There are totally days where Eloise and I are in our pajamas from sunrise to sunset… and then to sunrise again. Those days are awesome but, as you’re cleaning up after, playing with and chasing your babe all day, it’s easy to lose sight of the beautiful, sexy woman you are. I mean, let’s be real, baby food and diaper changes aren’t exactly a recipe for feeling your best and, from experience, that can really put a dent in your confidence. So it’s important for us mamas to make time to feel like ourselves again. And man, changing a diaper is way more fun when you look and feel good doing it.

If you want to know more about my skin care, hair, and make up routines just let me know and I’ll get to work on sharing them with y’all!

  1. This is so great! As a mom of two, I always feel that I am a better mom when I take time to take care of myself. I take the time to work out at least for days a week. This is difficult because I also work full time and sometimes feel guilty taking that extra time away from my eight year old and three year old. I always remind myself that I am a better mom because of the endorphins I get from a good workout!

    1. I’ll totally get to work on those for you! I feel a Youtube Channel coming on soon. I hope you’re soaking up all of the newborn snuggles- I know it’s exhausting and you’re probably delirious but soon your babe will be too busy to cuddle! Thanks for reading!
